Agbrigg Wet Room

This project involved converting an existing downstairs shower room into a fully accessible wet room. The brief prioritised ease of access while maintaining a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

The floor was fully tanked using a BAL waterproofing system before the tiling began, ensuring complete water containment. A 900mm linear drain runs the full width of the shower area, giving an unobtrusive finish.

Highlights:

• Full floor-to-ceiling waterproofing (walls and floor)
• Slip-rated porcelain floor tiles (R11 anti-slip rating)
• Fold-away stainless steel grab rails that blend with the decor when not in use
• Thermostatic bar valve with separate flow and temperature controls
• Low-energy LED strip lighting in a recessed ceiling coffer

The wet room was completed in ten days and has been a life-changing upgrade for the client.
