Got Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
From design through to installation and payment, here's everything customers most often ask us before starting a project. Can't find what you're after? Get in touch and we'll be happy to help.
Design
Do we need an appointment to visit the showroom?
We always advise booking an appointment so we can guarantee we're free to see you. We will of course see you if you come in without one and we're free.
Can we be involved in the design process?
Absolutely. Your thoughts, ideas and inspiration are always welcome and encouraged. We want to create your dream design, and each one is tailored to your specific needs.
Can you work with designs we have already had from elsewhere?
Yes we can. If you're happy with a design from another designer, we can work with that. If we see another option that would work better, we'll always discuss this with you.
Do you offer a home visit service?
Yes we do. We always ask if you're able to come to the showroom first and bring rough measurements with you, so we can create a design for you. We'll always come out to confirm your measurements, or if you'd prefer we'll come out to you first.
Installation
How long will it take to complete my new bathroom?
This depends on the work you're having done. A fully tiled bathroom with recesses, feature tiles and a wet room will take longer than a half-tiled bathroom where products are being replaced like for like. Roughly, we'd say anywhere between 7 and 14 days.
How long will I be without a toilet?
If your new toilet is going back in the same place, we'll temporarily fit it for you within a few hours if needed. If you're having a new configuration and this is your only toilet, a toilet will be there for you to use at the end of the first day, though it may be without a cistern so you'd manually flush it with items we'd leave for you.
Who will install it?
Our employed Wakefield Bathrooms installation team will install your new bathroom. We don't use sub-contractors, so we have complete control over the installation from start to finish. Any electrical or plastering work required is carried out by approved tradesmen we've worked with for many years.
How long will I have to wait from ordering to install?
This depends on our diary at the time of booking. Speak with our team and they can advise you.
Do you have full control over everything?
Yes we do. Our employed installation team take care of everything from ripping out your old bathroom to installing your new one. All electrical work, plastering and decorating is coordinated by us, so you don't have to worry about arranging anything.
Who gets rid of the rubbish?
All of our quotes include the cost of a skip or rubbish removal service where required. If you'd prefer to remove the rubbish yourself, just let us know.
Will you protect my carpets and floor coverings?
Always. We use premium floor coverings to keep them clean and protected throughout the project.
Service
What guarantees do you offer on the products?
All of the products we supply come with manufacturer guarantees. Depending on the brand, these can range from 1 to 30 years.
What guarantees do you offer on the installation?
Our installation comes with a 2 year guarantee, as long as you haven't had further plumbing work done once we've completed the job. See our terms and conditions for further details.
Can we just buy products from you if we have our own fitter?
Yes you can. We offer both a complete supply and installation package, and a supply only option.
Do you only supply the products you have on display?
There are hundreds of products we'd love to display alongside what we already have. We try to show a range of styles, ranges and colours to give you the best possible options, but if there's something you'd like that we don't display, we can generally supply most products within the brands we're partnered with.
Do you do a site survey?
We complete a survey of your room before we start. This confirms that the agreed design will work with no problems, and everything chosen will fit as designed.
Payment & Costs
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, bank transfers and cheque.
Do you require a deposit?
Once you agree your design and quote, we require a deposit of 15%. This secures your date and lets us get the products on order.
Do we have to pay for everything upfront?
No you don't. A deposit is required to secure your date and order your products. The second payment, usually the total of the products, is due when we deliver them at the start of the installation. The final payment is due once installation is complete and you're happy with everything.
Do you charge for delivery?
We don't charge for delivery on full installation projects. If you require products delivered as part of a supply only purchase, a delivery charge will apply to non-local areas.
Will there be any extra charges on top of the agreed quote?
It's rare, but unforeseen things can occur. For example, the extent of any extra work needed can't be priced until the room is completely ripped out. If the walls go back to brick when the old tiles come off the room will need re-boarding, and if you've had leaks in the past the floorboards may need replacing. We'll always let you know along the way of anything necessary to complete the install to our high standards.
What will it cost?
This is a difficult one to answer, as it depends on the products, tiles and flooring you choose. Prices vary widely depending on the brand and products you pick, for example fully fitted furniture costs more than a vanity unit. Based on the last 3 years, fully installed prices have ranged from £10k to £30k.
General
Can I use my new bathroom as soon as it's completed?
You can use the WC straight away, but the wet areas, basin, shower and bath, need leaving for 24 hours as long as you don't wipe any water off the silicone and grout, and 48 hours for full use including wiping water away.
Do you install products I've bought from somewhere else?
Unfortunately not, we only install products that we've supplied. We've done this in the past and it caused problems: if products were damaged or didn't arrive in time, we could be waiting days or weeks for a replacement, which had a knock-on effect on other work. We also only install products from brands we'd recommend and are confident in, and wouldn't be happy installing anything that doesn't match our high standards.
What time will the fitting teams arrive?
Depending on your location, our team will be with you between 8.30 and 9am. We'll let you know before we start.
Do you have any reviews we can read?
Yes, we're proud of our reviews and you can read them below.
Can I speak to previous customers?
You can read our Google reviews via the link below, but if you'd prefer to talk with our clients directly we'd be happy to arrange this for you. All of our clients are over the moon once we've finished and would be proud to speak with you.
